The Women Leadership of Peace Initiative, Nasarawa State, led by Hon. Helen Abeghe Elias, has paid a congratulatory visit to the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Hon. Isaac Danladi, in recognition of his commitment to service and environmental sustainability.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Helen Abeghe Elias commended the commissioner’s dedication, stating:
"Even before now, I have been following your activities.
It is clear that God has placed you in this position, guiding and leading you.
Your leadership has been inclusive, embracing all people regardless of background, and that is why we believe you are the right person for this role."
She further expressed the group's willingness to partner with the ministry in environmental sanitation efforts, given their commitment to peace and cleanliness in the state.
"As a group dedicated to peace, we also believe in maintaining a clean environment.
We want our members to actively support sanitation initiatives to complement your efforts in keeping Nasarawa clean."
The delegation also recognized Hon. Danladi as a mentor for their group, citing his open-door policy, compassion for the less privileged, and commitment to public service.
In response, Hon. Isaac Danladi expressed gratitude for the visit, describing it as a gesture he deeply appreciates.
"I sincerely thank you for taking the time to felicitate with me.
Your presence here today reaffirms our shared commitment to the peace and development of Nasarawa State. I assure you of my full support as an individual and as a ministry."
The commissioner also highlighted Governor Abdullahi Sule’s dedication to peace and security, noting that the ministry will continue working towards environmental sustainability and climate change mitigation.
"Environment is a crucial sector; everyone is affected by it. We are committed to addressing environmental challenges and ensuring a sustainable future for all."
The visit concluded with mutual assurances of continued collaboration in fostering peace and environmental sustainability in Nasarawa State.
