Muhammad Adamu Abubakar, mni, NPM, CFR, fondly known as the Walin Lafian Bare-Bari, is a distinguished Nigerian whose name resonates with excellence, discipline, and dedicated public service. Born on September 17, 1961, in Lafia, Nasarawa State, Adamu's journey from humble beginnings to national and international prominence is both inspiring and worthy of emulation.

A firm believer in education and professional development, he holds a Bachelor's Degree in Geography from Ahmadu Bello University and a Master’s Degree in International Criminal Justice System from the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom. These academic foundations shaped his globally respected career in law enforcement and leadership.

Adamu's service to the nation spans over 30 years in the Nigeria Police Force, marked by integrity and innovation. His major assignments include:

Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 5: Oversaw police operations across Bayelsa, Delta, and Edo States with excellence.

Director of Peacekeeping and Training: Championed reforms in training and peacekeeping for the Nigerian Police Force.

Commissioner of Police, Enugu State: Noted for effective leadership and community-oriented policing.


On the global stage, Adamu brought pride to Nigeria through his groundbreaking roles with Interpol, where he became the first African to serve as Director of NCB Services and I-24/7 Development  a trailblazing achievement that positioned Nigeria as a key player in international policing.
