The Nasarawa State Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Hon. Isaac Danladi, on Thursday, joined other dignitaries and stakeholders at the graduation ceremony of 50 beneficiaries of the “Master of Business on the Street (MBS)” empowerment training program.
The ceremony, which took place at the Ministry for Local Government, Community Development and Chieftaincy Affairs in Lafia, marked the successful completion of a five day intensive business development workshop aimed at equipping young entrepreneurs and smallscale business owners with the practical tools and strategies needed to manage and grow their ventures sustainably.
The MBS training is a collaborative initiative between the Nasarawa State Government and Interweave Solutions International, USA.
It focuses on building entrepreneurial capacity by providing participants with knowledge in areas such as business planning, marketing, financial literacy, customer engagement, and leadership.
Hon. Isaac Danladi’s presence at the event underscored the commitment of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to supporting youth empowerment initiatives and contributing to the broader vision of economic self-reliance in the state.
His attendance also served as a show of solidarity with the participants, some of whom hailed from his constituency in Karu Local Government Area.
The program reflects the vision of Governor Abdullahi A. Sule’s administration to reduce unemployment and promote inclusive development by investing in skills acquisition and enterprise support programs.
Highlights of the event included the presentation of certificates to participants, group photographs, and testimonials from several trainees who shared how the training had reshaped their mindset toward business and personal growth.
With the success of this inaugural batch, the MBS empowerment training continues to earn praise as a practical solution to grassroots economic challenges, as well as a pathway toward sustainable youth development in Nasarawa State.
