The First Lady of Nasarawa State, Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi Sule, has reiterated her unwavering commitment to promoting peaceful coexistence among the diverse ethnic groups in the state as a catalyst for sustainable socio-economic development.
She made this known while receiving members of the Women Wing of the Mada Development Association, led by its National President, Adama Amos, during a familiarization visit to her office in Lafia.
Hajiya Silifat Sule emphasized the importance of unity and mutual respect among all ethnic communities in Nasarawa State, stressing that only through peaceful living can meaningful development thrive.
She assured the delegation of the government’s readiness to support initiatives that foster unity and enhance the welfare of citizens.
The First Lady also advised women to be more involved in raising morally upright children by monitoring their activities and instilling positive values from an early age.
Earlier in her remarks, the National President of the Mada Development Association Women Wing, Adama Amos, said their visit was aimed at briefing the First Lady on the group’s upcoming programmes and to seek her support in achieving their objectives.
She lauded the First Lady’s dedication to women and youth empowerment, which she said has helped many become self-reliant.
A major highlight of the visit was the presentation of an Award of Excellence to Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi Sule in recognition of her outstanding contributions to women and youth development in Nasarawa State.
