The Nasarawa State Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Barrister Isaac Danladi, has sought a strategic partnership with the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) to integrate youth perspectives into policy formulation under Governor Abdullahi Sule’s administration.

Speaking during a meeting with the leadership of YAN’s Nasarawa State chapter at his office on Wednesday, Danladi emphasized the critical role of youth in governance and environmental sustainability.

He urged the assembly to leverage opportunities within the ministry to strengthen their advocacy for good governance and environmental protection.

Reaffirming his commitment to youth-friendly initiatives, the Commissioner encouraged YAN to champion tree-planting campaigns as part of efforts to combat climate change and promote sustainable development.

Earlier, the Speaker of YAN, Comrade Habiba Umar Illiyasu, stated that their visit was aimed at fostering collaboration on environmental initiatives and congratulating Barrister Danladi on his recent appointment by Governor Sule.

She assured the Commissioner of YAN’s dedication to supporting the ministry’s programs, including public awareness campaigns on sanitation, erosion control, and afforestation.

The engagement signals a strengthened alliance between the state government and youth stakeholders in advancing environmental policies and governance.
