The Nasarawa State Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Hon. Isaac Danladi, has expressed delight over the unity and commitment demonstrated by the Gurku community during the inauguration of the new Executive Council of the United Gurku Youth Development Association (UGYDA) and the fundraising ceremony for a new town hall.

Speaking at the well-attended event, Hon. Danladi stated:

“I am truly happy to be here today, invited by my good friend and brother. As someone who sees this as my community, I am here to support, to celebrate, to wish the new leadership well and to catch some fun.

 I’m impressed by what I have witnessed so far, from the cultural displays to the vibrant turnout. I would have missed a lot if I wasn’t here.”

He congratulated the newly inaugurated executive members, describing them as capable young leaders.

 He urged them to stay committed, focused, and steer clear of social vices, reminding them that:

“The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow. They must avoid actions that could tarnish their image and undermine community development.”

Hon. Danladi further called on the youths to actively participate in Governor Abdullahi Sule’s developmental mantra, stressing that the governor has given priority to youth empowerment and inclusion in governance.

In his remarks, the newly sworn-in UGYDA President, Comrade Mukaila Muhammad, assured the gathering of his administration’s readiness to prioritize the security and development of Gurku community. 

He expressed deep appreciation to Hon. Isaac Danladi for honoring the occasion and pledged the association’s support for both the Commissioner and Governor Abdullahi Sule in their efforts to drive progress across the state.
