In a continued demonstration of purposeful representation, the Member representing Nasarawa Central Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr. Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim, has commenced another round of borehole drilling to tackle water scarcity across her constituency.
The only female lawmaker in the State Assembly, Dr. Danyaro, said the initiative was part of her commitment to fulfilling campaign promises made to the people. Speaking at the launch of the latest phase of the Tafisu Water Scheme at Ara Ward One, Makama Unit over the weekend, she assured that the project would extend to other wards and units, ensuring widespread impact.
Dr. Danyaro, who also serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on Women Affairs, emphasized that the new water projects form part of her lined-up achievements as she marks two years in office, vowing that all scheduled projects will be completed within a short timeframe for the benefit of her constituents.
The benefiting community, who turned out in large numbers to witness the commencement of the borehole drilling, hailed Dr. Danyaro for her efforts in delivering dividends of democracy.
They lauded her for addressing a critical need, expressing optimism that the water project, once completed, would significantly ease the prolonged water scarcity affecting numerous households.
Grateful for her genuine commitment to community development, the constituents pledged their full support to Dr. Danyaro, assuring her of their loyalty and backing to succeed beyond 2027.
It would be recalled that Dr. Danyaro had earlier executed several borehole projects in the first phase of the Tafisu Water Scheme, promising to ensure that no electoral ward is left out before the end of her tenure.
