The Keffi Old Boys Association (KOBA) has concluded plans to host its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the historic Government College Keffi, with the Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, expected as Special Guest of Honour.
The event, scheduled to run from Thursday, April 24 to Sunday, April 27, 2025, will bring together KOBA members from across the country and beyond in a grand homecoming to celebrate legacy, leadership, and excellence.
Speaking during a press briefing in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital, KOBA Secretary-General, Prince Sam Israel JP, disclosed that the four-day event will begin with the arrival and registration of members on Thursday, followed by a series of activities reflecting the association’s values and traditions.
According to Prince Israel, highlights of Friday, April 25, include a homage by KOBA National Executive Council to the Emir of Keffi, Alhaji Dr. Chindo Yamusa, who is also the Grand Patron of KOBA, as well as Juma’at prayers at the Emir’s Palace for Muslim members.
Later in the evening, sports and reunion gatherings will hold across Keffi town for various graduating sets.
The AGM proper is scheduled for Saturday, April 26, at the Patient Hall of Government College Keffi, where crucial association matters will be discussed and a new leadership is expected to emerge.
The high point of the AGM will be the KOBA Cheetah Gold Awards Night to be held at the Edward Adamu Banquet Hall, also within the college premises. Prince Israel revealed that 17 distinguished Nigerians, including the Governors of Benue, Plateau, Borno States and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will be honoured for their contributions to national development and service to humanity.
Governor Abdullahi A. Sule will grace the event as Special Guest of Honour, while the Emir of Keffi will serve as Chief Host.
The AGM will conclude on Sunday, April 27, with a Thanksgiving Service and a homage by the newly elected KOBA leadership to the Emir before members depart.
The 2025 KOBA AGM promises to be a remarkable celebration of heritage, excellence, and unity among the alumni of one of Northern Nigeria’s most historic institutions.
