The Inter Party Advisory Council IPAC has reiterated his call for the convening of electoral offences commission, to try offenders and their sponsors.
While stating the need for a sane , transparent, strong, virile and open democratic system in the country, the need for electoral offenders commission is sancrosanct.
The National chairman , Inter Party Advisory Council IPAC , Alhaji Yusuf Mamman Dantelle made this declaration to mark this years Easter Celebration by the Christian brothers and sisters , signifying the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
He urged Nigerians to make do the joyous occasion of the victory of Jesus Christ life over death, symbolizes rededicating our lives by living a life of Christ and it's doctrines, signifying Christ virtue of love , tolerance , compassion and sacrifice .
He urged Nigerians to pray for the progress and development of the country in all ramifications of our dear nation.
"Citizens desire and deserve good governance, and improvement of their well-being in line with section 14( 2) b of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as amended, which provides that the security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government."
Unfortunately, Nigerians are no longer secured in their own country.
While urging government to tackle the issue of insecurity headlong, the wanton killings of citizens by non state actors must stop forthwith, enough of bloodshed in the land.
"Council commiserates with the families of those who lost their loved ones, in the recent attacks in Plateau and Benue states in particular , and other parts of the country."
