It has been seven years since the passing of Late Alhaji Aliyu Akwe Doma, OOM, OON, Madauchin Doma, yet his legacy continues to inspire generations. A man of exceptional leadership, vision, and dedication to public service, he left an indelible mark on Nigeria’s political and developmental landscape.
From his days as a Super Permanent Secretary to serving as the Deputy Governor of Plateau State, and ultimately as the Second Democratically Elected Governor of Nasarawa State (2007–2011), Alhaji Aliyu Akwe Doma embodied the principles of good governance, integrity, and progress.
His tenure as governor was marked by a commitment to infrastructure, agriculture, education, and economic development. He championed policies that empowered the people of Nasarawa State, laying foundations that continue to shape the state's growth. His wisdom, humility, and unwavering commitment to the common good remain a beacon of exemplary leadership.
As we reflect on his remarkable contributions seven years after his demise, we remember Madauchin Doma not just as a political leader but as a father figure, a statesman, and a visionary whose impact will forever be cherished.
