Ramadan: Speaker Danladi Jatau Urges Prayers, Unity, and Aid for the Needy in Nasarawa

The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, has extended his felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the commencement of the 2025 Ramadan fast, urging fervent prayers for leaders and the nation’s progress.

In a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Jibrin Gwamna, the Speaker described Ramadan as a sacred and significant period for Muslims worldwide, emphasizing the need for gratitude to God for witnessing the holy month. He urged faithful to embrace solidarity and extend support to one another, particularly to the less privileged, to enable them to observe the fast with ease.

Recognizing the socio-economic and security challenges confronting the nation, Speaker Jatau called on Muslims to dedicate the holy month to intensified prayers for leaders at all levels, the state, and Nigeria as a whole. He also encouraged strict adherence to the ethical and spiritual principles of Ramadan, stressing that its rewards are immense for those who observe it diligently.

Furthermore, he appealed to Islamic scholars to use the period to promote messages of peace, unity, and coexistence to foster an egalitarian society where development can thrive.

Reaffirming his support for Governor Abdullahi Sule, Speaker Jatau urged the people of Nasarawa State to remain steadfast in prayers and backing for the administration to ensure the fulfillment of its mandate.
