NCWA Mourns Victims of Abuja CNG Truck Explosion, Extends Heartfelt Condolences

The North Central Women Association (NCWA) extends its heartfelt condolences to the victims and families affected by the tragic CNG truck explosion in Abuja. 

In a press statement issued by the National President of North Central Women Association (NCWA) made available to Journalists in Minna at the weekend described the tragic as Unprecedented.

This devastating incident, which has left a trail of destruction, injuries, and loss of lives, underscores the urgent need for stringent safety regulations and enforcement in the transportation and handling of hazardous materials.  

In the wake of this tragedy, NCWA stands in solidarity with the affected families, offering support and prayers during this difficult time.
 The Association also calls on the government, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders in the transportation and energy sectors to implement and enforce robust safety measures to prevent future occurrences.  

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of lives and the immense suffering caused by this avoidable disaster," said Dr. Maryam Abu-Goodman, President of the North Central Women Association. 
"It is imperative that authorities take swift and decisive action to ensure that safety protocols are strictly adhered to, particularly in the transportation of highly combustible materials like CNG. Lives must not be sacrificed due to negligence or weak enforcement of safety regulations."  she asserted

The NCWA. call for a thorough investigation into the explosion to determine the root cause and hold accountable any parties found culpable. 
Furthermore, the Association advocates for: stronger regulations, ensuring that all vehicles transporting hazardous materials meet strict safety standards implementing routine checks on CNG trucks to guarantee their roadworthiness.
 Also Dr. Maryam  suggested for driver training, mandating specialized safety training for drivers handling hazardous goods, 
Public awareness campaigns,among other enlightenment campaigns, educating communities on emergency response and safety precautions as related to to CNG and flamable materials.

According,to Dr. Maryam Abu-Goodman,as an organization dedicated to advocating for the well-being and safety of communities, NCWA remains committed to working with policymakers and relevant stakeholders to drive meaningful change.

 The Association calls on all Nigerians to unite in demanding higher safety standards to protect lives and property.
