In a significant move aimed at enhancing staff efficiency and productivity, the Director General of the National Productivity Centre (NPC), Dr. Baffa Babba Dan'agundi has officially declared open, a 4-day capacity building programme for research officers, aimed at enhancing their knowledge, skills, and competencies in utilizing productivity tools and techniques.
The training, which kicked off on March 17, 2025, at the Anti Corruption Academy in Keffi, focuses on "Basic Productivity Improvement Tools and Techniques."
While declaring the training programme open, Director- General, Dr. Dan'Agundi affirmed, "the NPC is committed to leading the productivity movement, monitoring trends, building human capacity, and improving the quality of goods and services.
"To achieve this, the Centre will invest in the growth and development of its staff capabilities."
Dr. Dan'Agundi urged the research officers to maximize the opportunity to upgrade their skills and knowledge.
The 4-day programme will cover various productivity improvement tools and techniques, while participants will engage in intensive sessions and syndicate group discussions led by experts in the field.
The Centre has been actively engaged in various initiatives, including specialized training programmes, deployment of productivity improvement tools and techniques in MSME's, research/surveys, as well as productivity promotion and advocacy, to drive productivity growth and national development .
This training reflects the Centre's commitment to promoting continuous development and productivity improvement in Nigeria.
