The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has officially concluded its 2025 Ramadan Tafsir, urging Muslim faithful to uphold the lessons of the holy month and maintain righteousness beyond Ramadan.
The closing session, held at the Assembly complex mosque in Lafia, emphasized the importance of unity, love, and peaceful coexistence among adherents of different religions.
Speaking at the event, Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, represented by the Deputy Director of Legislative Matters, Yusuf Umar Kassim, called on Muslims to sustain the virtues of Ramadan, particularly in fostering peace and interfaith harmony.
“This year, Ramadan coincided with the Christian Lenten period, reinforcing the significance of spiritual devotion. I urge us all to reflect on the lessons learned and apply them in our daily interactions,” the Speaker stated.
Highlighting the essence of the holy month, Islamic cleric Muhammad Muhammad Sarki, Chief Imam of Malam Sarki Juma’a Mosque, Lafia, urged Muslims to embody the teachings of Prophet Muhammad in their daily lives. Similarly, the Assembly’s Staff Officer, Suleiman Danladi Gyabo, encouraged believers to strengthen their relationships with God and humanity.
The event concluded with special prayers for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Nasarawa State and Nigeria at large.
