The Nasarawa State Ministry for Local Government, Community Development, and Chieftaincy Affairs has urged the traditional institution to continue playing a vital role in fostering peace and unity across the state.
Commissioner of the Ministry, Aminu Mu'azu Maifata, made the call while receiving a delegation from the Palace of Sangarin Shabu at the Ministry’s headquarters in Lafia on Friday.
Leading the delegation, Talban Shabu and former Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Danladi Ishaku Abari, emphasized the need to strengthen collaboration between the government and the traditional institution in promoting stability.
Maifata commended the contributions of traditional rulers in maintaining harmony in their respective domains and urged them to sustain their efforts in supporting Governor Abdullahi Sule’s vision for lasting peace in the state.
On behalf of the delegation, Danladi Abari congratulated the Commissioner on his appointment and urged him to leverage his experience to justify the trust placed in him.
