Authority of KAPDAC urges NURTW to advice their members ( motorists) to utilize Capital parks to avoid traffic congestion.
General manager of Greater Karu Property Development control Agency Karu LGC of Nasarawa state , ESV Yakubu Auta Haruna has called on the NURTW in the state to advice their members(motorists) to utilize the 10 Capital Parks known as parking Loads provided by the Agency between Maraba and masaka Towns respectively for their members (motorists) to operate inorder not to create traffic congestion along the Highway.
Esv Haruna who stated this in an interview with our correspondent in maraba at the weekend ; expressing his displeasure in the recent time where some of the NURTW members in the area were creating artificial Garages along the corridor of the High way which constituted serious hazards.
According to him.' we invited officials of NURTW and advised them that the way and manner their Drivers are parking along the road is not good. We have designated motor parks where Drivers can pick and drop passengers inorder not to allow grid Lock on the road. All those operating private Motor parks should .move to the designated Sani Abacha motor parks.'
The GM who further debunked allegations that the Agency is collaborating with NURTW in the area to extort money from motorists between the mararaba and masaka axis as well as causing inconviences on passengers in the name of traffic violation.
' You see. We are government Agency. There are Laws establishing us. We have our rules and regulations guiding our operations. We don't have anything in collaboration with NURTW. Our operation is independent from them.
' They are Union. We are government Agency. Our duty is clearance of road corridors and not the NURTW. But for them taxing their members. We are not aware or operating with them at all.We have urged them to relocate their members to the popular Sani Abacha park'. Esv Haruna maintained .
He however appealed to motorists and the general public to Accord the desire support to governor Abdullahi Sule for his pragmatic step taken aimed at transforming Nasarawa state to the next level of development in terms of instrastructures.
