The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has suspended the recall petition against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan due to incomplete contact information submitted by the petitioners.
A statement from INEC revealed that the petitioners only provided a single phone number and an incomplete address ("Okene, Kogi State"), failing to meet the requirements stipulated in Clause 1(f) of the recall process.
With 474,554 signatures collected from 902 polling units, the petition remains stalled until the petitioners furnish the necessary contact details.
INEC further urged the public to disregard speculations making rounds on social media, stating that the recall process will only proceed upon full compliance, after which verification will be conducted using the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS).
