Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has been commended for his commitment to gender inclusion and women's empowerment in governance.
This recognition came from the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Hon. Isaac Danladi Esq., during the International Women's Day (IWD) celebration organized by the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Federal University of Lafia branch.
Hon. Danladi highlighted Governor Sule’s efforts in appointing women to key positions in the state, including the first female Head of Civil Service, Chief Judge Justice Aisha Bashir Aliyu, Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Board (Hajiya Hasiya Ahmad), and three female commissioners in the State Executive Council.
Following the governor’s example, Hon. Danladi also appointed a female Chief of Staff in his ministry, reinforcing his dedication to gender inclusivity.
He commended SSANU for organizing the event and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting women’s empowerment initiatives in all capacities.
