The International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) in Niger State has presented some items to Women and Children wards of the Minna General hospital and Jummai Babangida Neonatal hospital in Minna.
Among the items donated to the both hospital according to the Niger State Chairperson of FIDA Barrister Bolanle Jibogun,includes toiletries,provisions and undisclosed amount of cash.
Speaking shortly after the donation of the items, Barrister Bolanle Jibogun disclosed that FIDA as an non governmental organization saddled with the responsibilities of the Protection of women and children decided to present the items to the patients to impact on them.
She noted that FIDA Niger statebranch, will continue to Improve the well-being of the girl child and vulnerable women by reducing their pains underscoring the increasing rates of Poverty among the women.
Jibogun stated that the presentation of the items to the patients particularly in this Months of Ramadan and Lent was inline with the mandate of the Present administration of FIDA in Niger State to alleviate their suffering by putting smile on their faces.
She pointed out that FIDA as a charitable and non govermental organization will continue to stand in the Protection of the right of women and children, and girl-child through its advocacy mechanism stressing the needs for the support of well meaning individual and corporate bodies to extend their kind hearted gestures to the association to its set objectives.
Recieving the items on behalf of the patients,the head Nurse Jummai Babangida Neonatal hospital in Minna, Nurse Laraba Mohammed, applauded the leadership of FIDA in Niger State under its Chairperson Barrister Bolanle Jibogun for the wonderful gestures as extended to the patients.
