The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, has extended his felicitations to the Muslim community on the occasion of this year's Eid-el-Fitr celebration. He called for fervent prayers for Nigeria’s peace, progress, and the success of government at all levels.

In a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Jibrin Gwamna, Speaker Jatau urged citizens to use the festive period to pray for Governor Abdullahi Sule and other leaders to succeed in their responsibilities.

Emphasizing the spiritual significance of Eid-el-Fitr, which follows a month-long Ramadan fast, the Speaker stressed the importance of sober reflection, love, selflessness, and sacrifice in fostering national unity and prosperity.

He called on Muslims to strengthen their relationship with God and extend support to the less privileged, ensuring inclusivity in society.

"Let us all continue to pray fervently for God Almighty to grant our nation unity, peace, and prosperity while overcoming its challenges," Speaker Jatau stated.

He further urged prayers for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Abdullahi Sule, emphasizing the need for collective support to ensure the success of their leadership.

"As law-abiding citizens, we must remain committed to constituted authorities while fostering harmony and progress in our state and nation," he added, while wishing all Muslims a joyous and peaceful Sallah celebration.
