CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman Assumes Duty as 38th Commissioner of Police in Niger State

The newly deployed Commissioner of Police to Niger State  CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman has assumed duty at the Command headquarters in Dutsen Kura, Minna in Niger state.

CP Adamu Abdullahi assumed duty in Minna,Thursday as the 38th Commissioner of Police in Niger State Police Command.

 He takes over from AIG Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman, psc fsi who was recently promoted and redeployed to a higher capacity.

CP Elleman, a seasoned Police officer with about 31 years of service, brings his wealth of experience to his new capacity. 

He hails from Kaugama LGA of Jigawa State, and he was enlisted and appointed into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (C/ASP) on 25th June, 1994

He holds a Diploma and Bachelor degree in Laws (LL.B Hons) from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Attended Nigeria Law School, Lagos and was called to the Nigerian Bar (B.L), while he also obtained a Master degree in Laws from the same institution (LL.M). 

The CP has attended several professional courses which include; Advanced Detective Course, Junior Command Course, both in Police Staff College Jos, Strategic Leadership Training Course at NIPS Abuja, Fraud Detection in public and private sectors in USA, Financial Fraud Course United Kingdom, VIP Protection Course South Africa and other seminars, conferences and symposium within and outside the country.

CP A. A Elleman has served in various capacities as follows;
-O/C Legal and Prosecution, O/C General Investigation, Chairman Task Force on petroleum procurement and distribution, all in Taraba State 1996-1999.
-O/C Anti-Car Theft, FCT Command 2002.
-Pioneer Head of Operations EFCC 2003.
-Staff Officer, Force Secretary's Office 2007.
-Director; Intelligence, Investigation and Enforcement FIRS 2009
-O/C Special Investigation Unit FCID 2015.
-Head, IGP's Monitoring Unit 2019
-DC Operations Zone 7 Hqtrs Abuja 2021.
-Head, IGP's Monitoring Unit 2023.
-DC Admin and Finance, Jigawa State Command 2024
-CP Maritime, Lagos 2024- March 2025

He is a member of  National Institute of Police Studies, (MNIPS). 
The CP assures of his commitment and dedication to build on the success of his predecessor through his wealth of experience to ensure public safety, maintenance of law and Order and to reduce crime to the barest minimum in line with the Command's Action Plan for the year.

He therefore solicits for the cooperation and support of Nigerlites, residents and members of the public towards achieving the set goals of safety for all.
