The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) and the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) have intensified efforts to enhance school safety and improve access to basic education across Nigeria.
During a strategic meeting in Abuja, UBEC’s Executive Secretary, Aisha Garba, and the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, discussed measures to address security challenges in schools, particularly in vulnerable areas.
A statement by UBEC’s Head of Public Relations and Protocol, Mr. David Apeh, emphasized the critical link between education and national security. It highlighted the government’s commitment to ensuring a secure and inclusive learning environment as part of a broader effort to strengthen the country’s education system.
