The Executive Chairman of Toto Local Government Area (LGA) in Nasarawa State, Pharm. Ahmed Baba Yahaya, has signed the 2025 budget of Redemption into law following its passage by the legislative council.
During the signing ceremony, Yahaya expressed gratitude to the legislative arm for the prompt passage of the budget, emphasizing that it reflects a strong synergy between the executive and legislative bodies.
“With this budget now in effect, we can accelerate the execution of people-oriented projects. By God’s grace, I will ensure that the dividends of democracy reach our people at the grassroots,” Yahaya stated.
He called on residents to remain loyal and supportive of his administration and that of Governor Abdullahi Sule, urging them to embrace unity and avoid actions that could cause disunity.
“Any grievances should be directed to the appropriate authorities for peaceful resolution in the interest of unity and progress,” he added.
Following the budget signing, the chairman held a closed-door meeting with key council officials, including the Deputy Chairman, Council Secretary, Heads of Departments, and a representative of the zonal auditor. During the meeting, they approved immediate execution of various projects.
Chairman Hosts Gbagyi Village Heads, Pledges Inclusive Leadership
In a related development, Yahaya hosted Gbagyi Village Heads and their delegation in his office. The leader of the delegation, Alhaji Ayuba Azaki, Village Head of Gbagyi in Gadabuke, congratulated the chairman and pledged their continued support for his administration.
Azaki commended Yahaya for his proactive efforts in maintaining peace and security in the area. “We, as a people, will continue to be loyal and supportive of your policies and programs,” he said.
In response, Yahaya appreciated the village heads for their visit and assured them of an inclusive leadership approach aimed at fostering development in Toto LGA.
