A member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Ibrahim Abdullahi Sa’ad, has called on stakeholders and staff of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to fully support the newly appointed commissioner, Barrister Isaac Danladi, in delivering on his mandate.
Hon. Sa’ad, who represents the Umasha/Ugya constituency, made this appeal during the official handover ceremony between the outgoing administration and the new commissioner. He was accompanied by Hon. Aliyu Ibrahim Nana and other dignitaries who witnessed the transition of leadership within the ministry.
Addressing ministry staff and attendees at the event, Hon. Sa’ad emphasized the importance of teamwork and cooperation in ensuring the success of the commissioner. He stated, “The ministry’s progress is dependent on the leadership and the commitment of its staff. If Barrister Isaac Danladi succeeds in his role, the entire ministry will thrive, but if he encounters setbacks, the entire system will face challenges.”
The lawmaker further urged all employees and stakeholders to rally behind the new commissioner, providing him with the necessary support and collaboration to implement policies that will enhance environmental sustainability and natural resource management in the state.
He acknowledged the crucial role of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources in addressing issues such as climate change, waste management, afforestation, and environmental conservation, stressing that effective leadership and teamwork would be key to overcoming these challenges.
In his remarks, Barrister Isaac Danladi expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him by the Governor Abdullahi Sule and assured all present of his commitment to driving impactful reforms.
He pledged to work closely with all stakeholders to implement policies that will promote a cleaner and more sustainable environment in Nasarawa State.
The event concluded with goodwill messages from various officials who expressed optimism about the new leadership and its potential to bring about positive changes in the ministry’s operations.
