Garaku Toll Plaza on the Keffi-Akwanga Expressway has been officially commissioned, signaling the beginning of cashless tolling on the Abuja-Keffi-Akwanga-Makurdi highway.
Motorists traveling on this 227-kilometer road will now be required to pay tolls based on their vehicle category:
- Saloon Cars: N500
- SUVs/Jeeps: N800
- Minibuses: N1,000
- Multi-Axle Vehicles: N1,600
The toll collection will be entirely cashless, with no option for physical cash payments.
However, police and military vehicles, along with select essential service vehicles, are exempt from paying toll fees at the Garaku Toll Plaza.
Motorists are advised to prepare for a seamless tolling experience as the cashless system takes full effect.
