Former Nasarawa Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi Confident in Gov. Sule’s New Cabinet, Urges Alignment with Policy Drive

Former Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has expressed confidence in the ability of Governor Abdullahi Sule’s newly constituted cabinet to deliver on their mandates.

Balarabe Abdullahi, who currently serves as the Chairman of the Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Yobe State, made this assertion during a congratulatory visit to some of the newly appointed government officials in Nasarawa State.

Among those he visited were the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barr. Shuaibu Labaran Magaji, PhD; Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Aminu Muazu Maifata, who previously served as the ALGON National President; and Commissioner for Lands and Urban Development, Hon. Umar Tanko Tunga, who was formerly the Majority Leader of the State Assembly.

Others included Dr. Gaza Gwamna, Commissioner for Health; Hon. Muhammed Sani Ottos, Commissioner for Commerce and Investment and immediate past Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government; and Barr. Isaac Danladi, Commissioner for Environment, among others.

Accompanied by Hon. Barr. Muhammed Ibrahim Alkali, Special Adviser to Governor Sule on Legislative Liaison, and Hon. Abdullahi Dahiru Angibi, former Member representing Lafia Central, Balarabe Abdullahi commended the appointees, describing their selection as well-deserved given their vast experience.

He urged them to leverage their expertise, align with Governor Sule’s policy initiatives, and contribute to the delivery of good governance and democratic dividends to the people of Nasarawa State.

In their separate remarks, the appointees expressed gratitude to the former Speaker, acknowledging his visit as a significant gesture of encouragement from a prominent political figure in the state.

 They described it as a morale booster that would inspire them in their new roles.
