The Federal Housing Authority (FHA) has ordered an immediate suspension of all ongoing construction and development activities within its estates in Lugbe, Karu, and Kubwa, Abuja.
In a public announcement issued on Sunday, the FHA management directed that all construction works in these estates be halted immediately. Developers involved in ongoing projects are required to report to the FHA Head Office at No. 26 Julius Nyerere Crescent, Asokoro, Abuja, on Monday, February 3, 2025, with relevant documents.
The required documents include:
- Letters of Allocation
- Approved Building Plans
- Payment Receipts
- Proof of ownership, including consent letters for ownership transfers
Furthermore, owners of commercial developments without necessary approvals have been granted a three-month window, effective from February 3, 2025, to regularize their property documents and obtain all requisite approvals.
The FHA has warned that strict sanctions will be enforced against any developer who fails to comply with these directives.
