The Federal Government, through the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (OSSAP-SDGs), has inaugurated a state-of-the-art Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurial Centre in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
The initiative aims to equip youths with vocational and entrepreneurial skills, including sewing, ICT, welding, building trades, photography, and auto repairs, to promote sustainable livelihoods and economic growth.
At the commissioning, Senior Special Assistant to the President on SDGs, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, emphasized the centre’s role in tackling youth unemployment and fostering economic development.
Key stakeholders, including the Nasarawa State Government, traditional rulers, and education leaders, praised the initiative, urging beneficiaries to maximize the opportunities provided.
The centre aligns with multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reinforcing Nigeria’s commitment to poverty alleviation, quality education, and economic empowerment.
