Former Senate President, Senator David Mark, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of two elder statesmen, Pa Edwin Kiagbodo Clark and Pa Ayo Adebanjo, describing them as the "last of the titans" in Nigeria’s socio-political landscape.

Mark acknowledged their relentless fight for a just and egalitarian society, emphasizing that their demise leaves a significant void at a time when Nigeria needs visionary leaders.

He lamented that while they did not live to see the Nigeria of their dreams, their efforts laid a solid foundation for the nation’s progress.

Urging the Federal Government, led by President Bola Tinubu, to immortalize the late icons, Mark called for the preservation of their ideals—patriotism, unity, equal opportunities, peace, and progress—as guiding principles for Nigeria’s future.

He extended his condolences to their families and the governments of Ogun and Delta States, urging them to find solace in the remarkable legacies left behind.

This was contained in a statement signed by Paul Mumeh, Media Adviser to Senator David Mark.
