The Immediate Past Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has commended Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his remarkable performance within his first year in office, urging him to sustain the momentum.
Balarabe Abdullahi, who currently serves as the Chairman of the Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, lauded the governor’s commitment to youth development and other transformative initiatives in Kogi State.
He made these remarks while receiving the Chairman of the Kogi State National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Comrade Benjamin Jeremiah Ojodale, at his residence in Lafia.
"Governor Ododo has started on a strong footing. He is delivering for his people, and if he maintains this trajectory, securing a second term will be effortless. I salute his dedication," Balarabe stated.
The former speaker also urged the youths and people of Kogi State to rally behind the governor for the continued progress of the state, emphasizing the importance of youth participation in governance and national development.
In his remarks, Comrade Ojodale highlighted Balarabe Abdullahi’s leadership and contributions to Nasarawa State, describing him as a "tested and trusted leader." He further presented the former speaker with the Most Outstanding Politician Award from Global Times Nigeria in recognition of his political contributions.
During the visit, Ojodale also showcased Governor Ododo’s recent car donations to the youth, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to youth empowerment in Kogi State.
