Chairmanship aspirant of Association of Motor Dealers Of Nigeria (AMDON) Niger State Chapter Alhaji Looqman Salawu has promised to take the association to greater level if voted into office.
He said the association under his leadership will witness a greater transformation as compared to what was obtainable in the past assuring that his leadership will involve all critical stakeholders in moving the motor dealers to the next level.
According to the Chairmanship aspirant,his leadership as the chairman of AMDON in Niger state will witness an agressive transfomational stride that every members's interest will be protected.
Speaking with newsmen at the IBB pen house in Minna at the weekend, Alhaji Looqman Salawu assured that if given the mandate as the Chairman of the association the welfare and the well-being of his members will not be compromised.
Outlining his blueprint if voted in office. Alhaji Salawu, posited that his leadership will partner with relevant security agencies in ensuring the protection of every car dealers against any intimidation and harrasement in carrying out their legitimate business stressing the need for members to guide against any act of engaging in unlawful business.
" My leadership will ensure the safety and the security of my registered and genuine members. I Will partner with relevant security agencies and other critical stakeholders in the protection of my members.
" I will not allow a situation where a vulcanizer will use his shop as a car stand., I will not accept a situation where a car wash will use his place as a car stand in Niger State.
" My administration in Niger State Motor Dealers will work with Anti Car theft unit of the Niger Police Command in fishing out bad eggs among us out to face the law
" Like I told you, we will work with the relevant security agencies,like the customs that happen to be our stakeholders in this business and other critical stakeholders to ensure the safety of our members who are genuinely doing their legitimate business among us." he said.
Speaking further, Alhaji Salawu who is the Chairman and chief executive officer of Salawu Global Motors Limited told newsmen that having been in the car business for over three decades in Minna, he expressed concern on the level of lack of Competent leadership of the association over the years arguing that his leadership will change the narrative for the betterment of the members.
He disclosed that his leadership will give purposeful leadership that will create a good working condition with the the governor Umar Mohammed Bago new Niger agenda transfomational stride this according to the Chairmanship aspirant will give the association a recognition in the governor Bago led New Niger Agenda.
