The Forum of Northern Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria has paid a solidarity visit to the Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman Zuru, to sympathize with him over his ill health. During the visit, the speakers prayed for his quick recovery and sound health, wishing him strength to effectively discharge his duties.
The delegation also visited the Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris, where they discussed the importance of fostering stronger collaboration between the executive and legislative arms of government for the speedy development of the country.
Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, emphasized the significance of effective synergy among government arms in his remarks to journalists.
He noted that such collaboration has been pivotal in advancing development in Nasarawa State, citing the harmonious relationship between Governor Abdullahi Sule and the state legislature.
"I want to pray for the quick and speedy recovery of Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman Zuru. May Almighty God grant him good health and strength to fulfill his responsibilities.
I also encourage continued collaboration between the executive and legislature for the benefit of the people," Jatau said.
He further assured of the commitment of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly to enact laws and resolutions that will positively impact the lives of citizens.
The Northern Speakers appreciated Governor Idris for his development efforts in Kebbi State and pledged their support toward enhancing governance and legislative collaboration for the overall progress of the nation.
