The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Danladi Jatau, has extended his condolences to the Emir of Keffi, HRH Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, following the passing of the Emir's wife, Hajiya Maryam Shehu Chindo.
During a visit to the Emir’s palace on Thursday, Speaker Jatau expressed his deep sorrow over the loss, describing it as shocking and monumental.
He urged the Emir to view her death as the will of God and prayed for divine consolation for the Emir and his family.
The Speaker also prayed for the late Hajiya Maryam's soul, asking God to forgive her shortcomings, reward her good deeds, and grant her eternal rest in paradise.
In his response, the Emir of Keffi, Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, expressed gratitude to the Speaker and his entourage for their solidarity during this period of grief, praying for God’s blessings upon them.
