The Kogi State Government is set to establish an entrepreneurial ecosystem that is all-encompassing in constructing a robust economic foundation for the sustainable advancement of the state.
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo gave the message, on Thursday January 29, 2025, during the Kogi State MSME and Financial Inclusion Conference 2025 at the Government House in Lokoja.
In a Press Release by the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Mr Unubi Emmanuel the Governor Represented by the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Joel Salifu emphasized that the path to prosperity rests in the hands of the enterprising youths.
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo expressed that his administration is diligently working towards translating those aspirations into tangible outcomes. And highlighted that the conference is focused on envisioning the future of Kogi State and establishing MSMEs to enhance the livelihoods of the state's economy.
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo reaffirmed his commitment to collaborating with banks, microfinance institutions, and financial technology companies to deliver cost-effective and innovative financial services across all areas of the state.
He urged the beneficiaries to leverage the opportunities provided to enhance their livelihoods and become employers of labor.
Earlier, the State Commissioner of Commerce and Industry, Hon. Muktar Shaibu, lauded Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for issuing free CAC Certificates to ten thousand small-scale business registrants in the MSME sector in the state, predicting that the state will soon emerge as an economic centre of the country.
