The Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has been commended for promptly paying counterpart Funds to attract World Bank and other donor Agencies to the State in his continues efforts to bring succor to rural communities.
Executive Chairman of Jos East Local Government Council Chief Markus Nyam, gave the commendations while playing host to the team from the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) in his office on Wednesday where he expressed joy that Jos East whose major challenge is lack of access roads linkingU the villages and farms, is among beneficiaries of the the intervention of road rehabilitation by RAAMP.
The Jos East Council Boss further explained, that Governor Mutfwang's initiatives reflect his administration’s unwavering commitment to improving the lives of the people and ensuring the sustainable development of Plateau state, which is already yielding positive result and changing the narrative of the state.
Chief Nyam, also appreciated (RAAMP) for prioritizing the execution of the projects based on needs of the local Government Areas across the state and subsequent award of contract and pledged the Council's readiness to accord the desired support to the contractor to enable delivery on scheduled.
Earlier, the RAAMP Infrastructure Engineer, Engr Daniel Tempsen unveiled that he is leading a delegation of RAAMP Project Staff, Consultants and Contractor to hand over the construction of road projects in Jos East Local Government Area, spanning from Gada to Maigemu, Dorong and Jankasa junction as well as gangara villages.
The Engineer explained, that the programme is a collaboration between the World Bank, French Development Agency, Nigerian and Plateau State Government, which is expected to be executed within 18 months from the date of handing over the sites to the contractor and charged the contractor to ensure quality and timely delivery of the projects.
In their separate remarks, the Contractor, Forcetech Engineering Company Nigeria limited , Engineer Doctor Oduwale, lead Consultant, Hassan, Ambassador Ibrahim Kasai and Luka Madaki all showered accolades on the giant initiative of the three bodies,, the world Bank French Development Agency, Government of Nigeria and Plateau State for aiming at opening up Rural roads to ease movement of farm produce to markets
While commending the Governor of Plateau State Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang for being passionate and creating a level playing field for the prompt take-off of the projects across the State, Chief Nyam also promised to ensure timely execution of the project according to specification.
He called on the good people of Jos East Council area to keep faith by sustaining their support the Time is Now administration of Governor Caleb Mutfwang, haven't done incredibly well within one and a half year in office, While assuring them that very soon, numerous projects will be commissiond within the council area for th benefit of the people.
