Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has visited the headquarters of Jiuling Lithium in Fengxin County, China, to follow up on the company's $200 million investment to establish a lithium factory in Nasarawa Local Government Area.
The visit, part of the governor's week-long investment drive, provided him with firsthand insights into the company’s operations and facilities. Jiuling Lithium is renowned for mining mineral resources and producing lithium carbonate, a key component in renewable energy batteries.
During the visit, Governor Sule secured the company’s commitment to complete the 6-million-tonne-capacity factory within 18 months.
A spokesperson for Jiuling Lithium praised the favorable investment climate and ease of doing business in Nasarawa State, hinting at plans to explore additional investment opportunities in the region.
Governor Sule is currently in China at the invitation of LOVOL Engineering Company Ltd., a globally recognized manufacturer of farm equipment and machinery.
