Chief Judge of Niger State, Justice Halima Abdulmalik, Backs FIDA's Drive to Protect Girl Child Rights

The Chief Judge of Niger State, Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik, has pledged her support to the new leadership of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) in Niger state in their efforts to protect the right of the girl child.

The Chief Judge also assured the leadership of the FIDA of her preparedness to partner with the women in their fight against gender based violence and other vices against women and girl child in Niger State.

Receiving the leadership of the Niger State Chapter of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) during a courtesy call to her office, Thursday, Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik noted that  FIDA as an non governmental organization and a professional Organization," need my support to enable you carry out your good work in the protection of the right girl-child and women.

According to the Chief Judge FIDA in Niger State has been at the forefront of creating awareness and sensitizing girl-child and women as well as the vulnerables on the importance of guiding against any act of domestic violence stressing that as the Chief Judge, she will continue to extend her hands of fellowship to the leadership of FIDA in Niger state to succeed.

Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik expressed her delight for the visit  assuring that she will continue to use her office as the Chief Judge of Niger State to partner with the new leadership of FIDA in Niger State to actualize the success of their activities in the state.

She congratulated the new leadership of the Niger Chapter of the International Federation of Women Lawyers FIDA for their election and implored the new executives to carry every members of the association along to move the branch forward.

While appealing to the new leadership of FIDA in Niger state to continue to loud their voice against any gender based violence against girl-child and women in the state, Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik urged them to use the instrumentality of the law to ensure that culprits are made to face the full weight of the law.

Speaking earlier, the Niger State Chairperson of FIDA Barrister Bolanle Jibogun  applauded the Chief Judge for her transfomational stride in the Niger State Judiciary in the last three years in office.

She informed the Chief Judge that her leadership were in her office to formally request for her support in their activities in the state.

Barrister Bolanle Jibogun told the Chief judge that the new leadership of FIDA is planning to  embark on sensitization campaign on gender based violence against girl-child and women as well as the vulnerables in the state on the danger associated with gender related vices .

She hinted the Chief Judge that plans are on the way to host the National programmes by the Niger State chapter of FIDA which as" Our Grand Patron we came seek for your blessings and support to host the National engagement in Niger State" 
While Commending the Chief Judge for her Support to FIDA in Niger State, Barrister Bolanle Jibogun  assured the Chief of her leadership support in towards creating awareness and sensitizing the women and girl-child on the need to always raise their voice against any violence related matters in their midsts.
