The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday, January 20, 2025, arraigned a former Managing Director of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), Ahmed Kuru, alongside the Managing Director of Arik Air, Captain Roy Ilegbodu, and the Receiver Manager of Arik Air, Kamilu Omokide. Union Bank Plc and Super Bravo Limited were also named in the case.
The defendants appeared before Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos, facing a six-count charge of alleged theft of Arik Air's properties and abuse of office.
All the defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.
