The Benue State Zone C Youth Network (Benzonet) has honored Professor Innocent Ujah, the immediate past Vice Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences, Otukpo, for his remarkable contributions to education, community development, and the medical profession.

The award presentation took place during a thanksgiving service organized by close friends and family at his country home in Aidogido Okpoga, Okpokwu Local Government Area.

Comrade Abel Oche Ankeli, the Coordinator of Benzonet, presented the award, commending Prof. Ujah's trailblazing efforts as the pioneer Vice Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences, where he established high academic standards.

The group also recognized his consistent support for education, facilitation of employment opportunities across the country, and contributions to the growth and development of the Idoma community.

In his acceptance speech, Prof. Ujah expressed gratitude to Benzonet and urged the organization to remain committed to its humanitarian mission.

He encouraged them to continue supporting vulnerable children in their community and assured them of his ongoing commitment to the development of Benue-South.

The event was attended by dignitaries, including professional colleagues, traditional rulers, medical practitioners, and community leaders, such as Mr. Joseph Ameh Onojah, President-General of the Aidogodo Community.

Attendees described Prof. Ujah as a rare gift to the Idoma people and praised his lifelong dedication to community service and nation-building.
