Thousand of Youths Association under the umbrella of Unity Party of Nigeria UPN have asked Alhaji AlFa'iz Muhammad Bello known as Akomonikeu to declare interest to contest as the country’s next president in 2027.
The youths who converged at the office of the Party, said the Al Fa'iz represents the voice of the youth and elders in Nigeria. The youths announced that they support Al Fa'iz to contest under the UPN and expressed their readiness to support him.
Speaking at the rally, Abdurrashid Abimbola Abdussalam leader of the group, said it is time to jettison old ways of playing politics and show that a youthful president can create a Nigeria of everyone’s dreams.
“We won’t mind the naysayers; we won’t mind those who have embarked on a campaign of calumny. We have worked with many leaders and assessed many across the length and breadth of Nigeria. Alfa'iz Bello stands out,""
they advised Al Fa'iz to be patient and be ready to contest, even now his silence on the matter has turned to strength for us Nigerian elders and youths. We are ready for him, we will support him. No retreat, no surrender, until we accomplish our aim, which is God’s will by His grace.”
Other speakers at the rally Abdulmalik Dauda and Muhammad Kamal Abdullahi extol the leadership qualities of Al Fa'iz and appreciate his, wisdom, doggedness, humility and love for Nigeria which makes him different from the past leaders.
Speaking Al Fa'iz appreciate the group for their support would heed their call and address them very soon, because its not yet time for politicking,
“You have been consistent in your call for me to contest for president come 2027,” .“I have heard you clearly and will not disappoint you. I have demonstrated in Kano and it is paying off with all the giant strides. We will repeat the same feat for Nigeria by the grace of God.”
He also pledged to transform the country and address ills and unfriendly socio economic policies in order to give people a better life.
“I want to sincerely thank the youths and people of Bauchi State for the support."
He promised if elected comes 2027 general elections to exploit the oil that was discovered in the Kolmani region of Bauchi and Gombe States in commercial quantity for the benefit of the people of the country. “For years there say there is oil in Bauchi in the Lake Chad area. Today you have one of your own youth seeking to rule Nigeria.. If you elect us we will ensure that the oil is drilled in commercial quantity”.
He said one of the strategies is to build pipelines to take crude oil from the North East to other parts of the country.
