Vice President Kashim Shettima has reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to ensuring the welfare and security of all Nigerians, emphasizing that national security, economic transformation, and citizens' well-being remain top priorities for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
In a Christmas message released on Wednesday, Shettima assured Nigerians that the government remains resolute in its mission to improve lives, particularly through economic reforms and national security initiatives. “In these times of economic transformation, I want to assure you that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is dedicated to improving the lives of all Nigerians,” he stated.
Highlighting the nation’s diversity as its strength, the Vice President encouraged citizens to embrace unity, especially during the festive season. “Let us use this holiday season to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood that unite us, across all faiths and regions,” Shettima said, calling for national solidarity.
On the security front, Shettima expressed confidence in the vigilance of the country’s security forces, noting that enhanced security measures have been put in place for the holiday period. "Our brave security personnel will continue to work tirelessly to ensure your safety," he added, urging travelers to remain cautious and stay vigilant during their journeys.
Looking ahead to 2025, Shettima conveyed optimism for Nigeria’s future, stating, “I am filled with hope and optimism about Nigeria’s future. Together, we will build a more prosperous and united nation.” He also reaffirmed the administration's commitment to empowering Nigeria’s youth through various initiatives aimed at fostering opportunities for growth and development.
The Vice President concluded his message by urging Nigerians to remain hopeful and united, expressing confidence that the nation is on a path to greater prosperity and harmony in the new year.
