RAAMP Coordinator Urges Benue State University To Explore Vocational Opportunities

The Project Coordinator of RAAMP, in Benue State, Hon. Stephen Numbeve, has urged the management of Benue State University, Makurdi to explore vocational opportunities to generate revenue and provide income for students.

He stayed this in a recent interview during the Benue State University's combined convocation, held at the weekend. 


Numbeve particularly congratulated the university on its academic excellence and encouraged the management to foster entrepreneurship and self-sufficiency among students. 


He also praised Governor Hyacinth Alia's decision to establish satellite campuses of Benue State University in other locations, emphasizing the importance of education in driving economic growth.


"With the establishment of satellite campuses, the state government aims to empower citizens and enhance educational opportunities". 


Numbeve highlighted the university's commitment to vocational training and entrepreneurship, noting the potential for increased opportunities for students.


It would be recalled that at the ceremony, Governor Hyacinth Alia announced the donating of 500 units of computers to the university and promised scholarships, demonstrating a dedication to education and human capital development. 


Governor Alia urged the graduates to be good ambassadors of the institution and encouraged them to take advantage of agricultural policies to create legitimate means of livelihood.


Overall, the collaboration between the government and the university aims to improve the economy, create job opportunities, and promote academic excellence in Benue State.
