The Acting Controller General Of Corrections CGC Sylvester Ndidi Nwakuche has assumed office at the Service headquarters in Abuja,with a call to sectional heads to extend their hands of cooperation to him to reposition the Service for better service delivery.
He underscores the importance of synergy, transparency,and innovation in overcoming the multifaceted Challenges faced by the service pledging to build on the existing reforms.
In a press statement signed by the Service Public Relations Officer Umar Abubakar DCC obtained by our reporter in Minna, assured that he will Introduce fresh strategies aimed at improving inmate rehabilitation, addressing overcrowding, and enhancing the welfare of Correctional officers
Addressing sectional heads and heads of directorates at the service headquarters,the acting CGC said the goal of his administration is to transform the Service into a model of excellence that will prioritizes security,Reformation,and reintegration of offenders.
According to the acting CGC, this can only be achieved through collective collaboration, accountability,and the collective dedication of all stakeholders.
The meeting, according to him is aimed at providing a platform for sectional and heads of directorates to brainstorm and to share insights challenges as well as present updates ongoing projects
