The leadership of Organized Labour in Nasarawa State has officially announced the suspension of its over two-week-long strike.
This decision follows extensive deliberations and the signing of an agreement with the state government.
In a bulletin issued by the union, it was confirmed that the new wage implementation and other agreed terms will commence on December 1, 2024. Workers are directed to resume work starting Monday, December 16, 2024.
The union expressed gratitude to its members for their patience, resilience, and unwavering support during the challenging period, emphasizing that the strike demonstrated the power of unity among workers.
It was further assured that no worker will face victimization for participating in the industrial action.
