The Nasarawa State Primary Health Development Agency (NAPHDA) has pledged to collaborate with the Students’ Integrity Club of Federal University Lafia (FULafia) in promoting morality and health education.
The Executive Secretary of NAPHDA, Dr. Usman Iskilu Saleh, made this commitment during a courtesy visit by the student group, led by its Secretary, to the agency’s headquarters. The visit aimed to seek collaboration on sensitization campaigns, particularly against sexual immorality, which the group identified as a pressing issue among university students.
Speaking during the visit, the students’ leader highlighted the club’s mission to foster integrity within the university community. The leader also requested NAPHDA’s support in providing personnel to participate in their upcoming campaigns against sexual immorality, a practice the group considers unacceptable and detrimental to students’ well-being.
In his response, Dr. Saleh commended the students for their initiative, describing their efforts as a laudable humanitarian service that aligns with NAPHDA’s mandate to promote health and safety. He assured them of the agency’s readiness to support their cause and emphasized the importance of partnerships in addressing moral and health-related challenges.
The Executive Secretary advised the club to formally communicate their campaign schedules to the agency and pledged to provide resource persons to ensure the campaign’s success.
Dr. Saleh further reaffirmed NAPHDA’s commitment to its core mandate of delivering quality healthcare services to grassroots communities, noting that such collaborations help extend the agency’s reach and impact.
NAPHDA remains dedicated to improving primary healthcare services across Nasarawa State under Dr. Saleh’s leadership, with initiatives aimed at addressing critical health issues and promoting community well-being.
