LGSC Chairman Applauds Governor Alia For Restoring Mandate Of Commission

The Local Government Service Commission (LGSC) has been restored to its original mandate under the leadership of Governor Hon. Ivever. 

The Chairman of the Commission, Hon. James Ivever, praised Governor Hyacinth Alia for returning the Commission to its core functions.

During a special thanksgiving service in his honor, Hon. Ivever highlighted the importance of the Commission's role in employment, training, and appointments within local government. 

He attributed the restoration of the Commission's mandate to Governor Alia's commitment to Local Government Autonomy.

Hon. Ivever emphasized the need for collaboration between State and Local Governments to ensure effective service delivery. 

He also stressed the importance of staff training and development at the local level.

House of Representative Member, Hon. Solomon Wombo also expressed gratitude to Governor Alia for his support in addressing security challenges and promoting peace in the region. 

The Chairman of Local Government Service Commissions in Nigeria, Mohammed Bawa, also commended Governor Alia for his reforms and called for continued monitoring and evaluation of duties.

Members of the Benue House of Assembly and Local Government officials echoed the importance of supporting the Governor's initiatives for youth empowerment and peace-building. 

The call for peace was reiterated by community leaders and government officials at the thanksgiving service.

The restoration of the LGSC's mandate and the commitment to local development and peace-building were highlighted as key priorities for the state. 

The service, attended by dignitaries and officials, emphasized the importance of unity and support for a better future for Benue.
