Hon. Daniel Ogah Ogazi, member representing Kokona East Constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has distributed two cars and 20 motorcycles worth over N30 million to his constituents. The event, held in Garaku, underscores the lawmaker's commitment to enhancing the standard of living in his constituency.
While distributing the vehicles, Hon. Ogazi, who doubles as Chairman of the House Committee on Rules and Business, highlighted this as the third phase of his empowerment program within two years of his re-election. Since assuming office, he has distributed 83 motorcycles and 19 vehicles, alongside other community development initiatives.
“This gesture is born out of my passion for improving the lives of the vulnerable in society. I have always promised to give back to my people and will continue to do so,” Ogazi stated.
The lawmaker disclosed plans to commission seven boreholes, build culverts, and renovate schools and hospitals in his constituency. Additionally, over 1,000 women have been empowered with startup capital for various businesses. Ogazi assured constituents of more support, with another phase of empowerment slated after Christmas.
On the forthcoming 2027 elections, Hon. Ogazi called on the APC leadership to ensure fairness in the selection process, emphasizing the need for a level playing ground for all aspirants. He also acknowledged calls for him to contest for a House of Representatives seat but maintained his focus on serving his current constituency.
“I appreciate the calls for me to contest, but my priority remains delivering the dividends of democracy to my people. The right time will come for such decisions,” Ogazi remarked.
In his speech, former Kokona Local Government Chairman, Hon. Auwalu Adamu, urged Ogazi to consider contesting for the House of Representatives in 2027. “We will continue to support you and ensure you heed this call when the time comes,” Adamu declared.
The Chairman of APC Kokona LGA, Mr. Jacob Terry Bado, also commended Hon. Ogazi for his leadership and dedication to improving the lives of his constituents.
A representative of the beneficiaries, Dr. Jiriko Nzeghi, expressed gratitude for the empowerment initiative, pledging continued support for Hon. Ogazi’s political aspirations beyond 2027.
Ogazi concluded by appreciating God, his constituents, and the APC for their unwavering support while calling for prayers for leaders at all levels to govern with wisdom and fairness.
