Governor Fubara to Headline Grand Finale of 43rd FEPSGA in Port Harcourt

The Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, is set to officially bring the 43rd edition of the Federation of Public Service Games (FEPSGA) to a close. The grand closing ceremony is scheduled for 9:00 AM on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the Sharks Stadium, Port Harcourt.

Dignitaries expected at the event include federal and state government officials, athletes, technical officials, and members of the public.

Over the past week, Rivers State has played host to more than 8,000 athletes from 80 Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) of the federal government, alongside Team Rivers. The Games, characterized by intense competition, have produced new champions across various events.

This marks the second time Rivers State has had the honor of hosting this prestigious annual event, which fosters camaraderie, fitness, and networking among federal civil servants.

Highlights of the closing ceremony will include the presentation of trophies and medals to winners across multiple sporting disciplines.

In a statement signed by Warisenibo Joe Johnson, Chairman, FEPSGA Media Sub-Committee, it was emphasized that this year's Games have been a resounding success, showcasing the spirit of unity and excellence that defines public service.
