The Speaker of the Lafia Local Government Legislative Council and Chairman of the Forum of Speakers and Councilors across the 13 Local Government Areas in Nasarawa State, Hon. Mohammed Shuaibu Madaki, delivered an eloquent speech during a courtesy visit to the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau.
The visit took place on Monday, December 16, 2024, at the Assembly Complex in Lafia, marking a significant engagement between grassroots legislative leadership and the state assembly.
In his address, Rt. Hon. Madaki commended the Speaker of the State Assembly for his leadership and commitment to fostering legislative harmony and development across the state.
He emphasized the importance of collaboration between local government councils and the state legislature to ensure effective governance and the delivery of democratic dividends to the people of Nasarawa State.
The visit also served as a platform to discuss challenges faced by local councils and explore avenues for mutual cooperation aimed at strengthening legislative processes at both state and local levels.
In response, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau appreciated the forum for their proactive leadership and assured them of the assembly's continuous support towards achieving good governance and sustainable development in Nasarawa State.
The event was attended by members of the Forum of Speakers, legislative aides, and senior officials of the State Assembly.
