Tinubu Jets to France for Strategic Talks with Macron, Strengthening Nigeria-France Ties

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja on Wednesday for a three-day state visit to France at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.

The visit aims to bolster Nigeria-France relations by fostering partnerships in agriculture, security, education, healthcare, youth development, innovation, and energy transition.

President Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu will be welcomed on Thursday at Les Invalides and the Élysée Palace in Paris for ceremonial receptions, followed by high-level bilateral discussions with Macron and French officials.

The two leaders will deliberate on exchange programs for youth skill development, including automation, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Discussions will also extend to enhancing cooperation in finance, solid minerals, trade, and communication, with insights from the France-Nigeria Business Council on private-sector-driven economic growth.

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu and Brigitte Macron will engage in discussions focused on women and children's empowerment through the Renewed Hope Initiative.

The visit will conclude with a state dinner hosted by President Macron in honor of President Tinubu and his delegation.

Key government officials will accompany the Nigerian leader on this strategic mission to deepen bilateral ties.
